Preference for brown color is characteristic of people who are practical, stable, prefer simplicity and are devoted.

Many men love brown due to its strength, security and practicality.

Blending red, yellow, and blue (the primary colors) produces brown. That’s why all colors go with it.

Take a look at my ideas for decorating with brown, a hue sure to make your space feel warm and cozy.

Here are all the tips you need to do it.

1. Brown Color on Walls

As calming as a sandy beach, light brown is the next step up from white or ivory. It offers minimal risk but much more impact.

Cozy, and luscious, dark brown makes you want to curl up with a book, relax and enjoy your home.

In Feng Shui, brown color belongs to the wood Feng Shui element.

Being a wood element, brown color is excellent to use in East areas (Health & Family) and Southeast areas (Wealth & Abundance) as it matches the Feng Shui element of this direction.

You can also use the brown color in the Feng Shui area with the fire element, as wood nourishes fire in the productive cycle of the five elements. The fire Feng Shui element area is the South area(Fame & Reputation).

Besides painting you can also use wallpaper in shades of brown color, in a pattern or theme that fits the decor of your space.

Advice: Brown is an excellent color choice for the main entry, the kitchen, the bathroom or as a feature wall in the living room or bedroom.

Avoid a predominant Brown color scheme in the children's bedroom.
